Students at Friends' School Lisburn were treated to a display of the latest Virtual Reality technology from Global IT giant Google last Tuesday (26th April). Friends’ School Lisburn were one of a very select group of schools in Northern Ireland to be hosting an ‘Expeditions’ event and it certainly proved to be fascinating insight into the world of virtual reality.
Twelve year 13 students were treated to a C# programming masterclass from Liberty IT software professionals, who were visiting the school as part of a wider drive by the company to support schools delivering the new CCEA A-Level in Softwrae Systems Development.
FSL will host renowned "Digital Ninja" Wayne Denner on Thursday 26th November at 7:30pm to talk to parents on how they might support their child and keep them safe online.
Friends’ School Year 13 students (Ryan Shanks, Stephen Gibson, Cameron O’Hare, Alex Taylor) were awarded 1st place in the Allstate sponsored, XtheTXT ‘App’ design competition, run in conjunction with PSNI and DOENI.
