Admissions

Thank you for your interest in Friends’ School.

For entry into Year 8, please refer to our Admissions Criteria, which are published in December each year. To find out more about what we offer and to gain an insight into everyday life at Friends’, please have a look at our latest prospectus.

Welcome to our new Year 8 pupils!

We are delighted that you will be coming to Friends’ next year and look forward to meeting you soon. By now, you should have received a letter from us with the key information summarised below.

Induction Afternoon
Our induction afternoon will take place at 4pm on Tuesday 16 June and will provide an opportunity to meet others in the same class and to find out about arrangements for the next school year.

Form of Acceptance
To confirm enrolment, the original Form of Acceptance (posted with the offer letter) must be completed and signed by both parents/guardians and returned to us in person, along with a photocopy of the pupil’s birth certificate, by Friday 29 May.

Induction Booklet
Please find further information about the school in this Year 8 Booklet.

Enrolment Form
You will also be required to complete this enrolment form by Friday 29 May so that we are able to collate essential information ahead of the induction afternoon.

Queries
We look forward to meeting you on 16 June. In the meantime, if you have any further enquiries, please email us at [email protected] and we will get back to you as soon as possible. The school office is open Monday – Friday, from 8.30am – 4.30pm.

Friends’ uses the Entrance Assessment run by the Schools’ Entrance Assessment Group (SEAG) for primary school pupils.

If you are making an application for Special Provisions please read this guidance and complete this form which should be uploaded with the transfer application.

If you are making an application for Special Circumstances please read this guidance and complete this form which should be uploaded with the transfer application.

The SP and SC Forms are editable and where possible we would request that documents are uploaded as PDFs and should be clearly labelled to include the applicant’s name or initials.

Please note that educational evidence will need to be verified by the primary school Principal and can be uploaded separately to Part 1 of the SP/SC Form.

You can view our Prospectus here.

Unfortunately, we do not currently have spaces available in Years 9-11 and so are not able to operate a waiting list. This is because we have been granted a temporary variation in numbers by the Department which brings us above our approved enrolment number. If this changes, further information will be posted here.

We do not normally admit pupils into Year 12 as pupils have already completed half of their GCSE courses in Year 11.

Our Sixth Form Admissions Criteria can be found here

In August every year Friends’ admits pupils from a wide variety of schools both locally and internationally. We are running a Sixth Form Open Afternoon on Friday 13 March 2026 from 2pm – 3pm and applications are welcomed at any point using the documentation below:
