Junior Debating Club

Perhaps you are in need of something a little different - you may fancy yourself as a barrister, a politician, a journalist or simply as someone who is educated for living in a world where you will need the courage to speak up, for yourself and others- in which case, Junior Debating is a must. The Junior English Society runs once a month throughout term time. Pupils from Years 8,9 &10 are most welcome.

Junior Public Speaking

This will take the form of various competitions throughout the year for pupils in Years 8, 9 and 10.  Interest in these events, which include Enviromental Youth Speak, should be expressed to Ms Macartney.

Senior Debating

An elected committee will run monthly internal senior debates on topical issues.  All pupils in Year 11 - 14 are welcome.  There will also be the opportunity to gain a place on the senior debating team who enter local and national competitions throughout the year.

Senior Public Speaking

A range of competitions are entered by the school throughout the year, targeting Year 11 to Year 14 pupils, including Soroptomist. Interest in these events should be expressed to Ms Macartney.
