Extra-Curricular

Trips

Our tradition of school trips at Friends’ offers students immersive learning experiences beyond the classroom.

By exploring new environments and cultures, students develop curiosity, independence, and a global perspective, making their educational journey truly enriching and memorable. We aim to provide a rich tapestry of experiences that support academic learning, personal growth, and cultural understanding.

Additional

Information

Since 2006, we have had an exchange programme with our partner school in Germany. We have also organised home stay programmes in Santander, Salamanca and Nice, where pupilsare hosted by local families.

The History Department organises trips to Berlin for Key Stage 4 pupils, allowing them to see for themselves places of interest associated with WW2 and the Cold War.

Ski trips normally take place in the February half term. With all of this, as well as sports tours linked to the teams in school and the ever-popular Scripture Union weekends, Friends’ seeks to offer opportunities for all pupils to travel and broaden their horizons.

"The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only one page."
