Friends’ School seeks to provide an environment in which pupils, staff and parents are committed to the idea of excellence within a caring, supportive community. The Pastoral Care provided at Friends’ School is in sympathy with the principles of the Religious Society of Friends, which values individuals as of equal standing before God.

Pastoral Structures
Each pupil is a member of a Collect in school, this group meets 4 days a week in the morning alongside a member of teaching staff to ensure consistency of care. Each Year group has a Year Teacher who is a Pastoral Leader assigned to each group. As far as possible the same Collect Team and Year Teacher will support your child as they move through Years 8-14. Heads of School are members of the Senior Leadership Team who provide additional pastoral support and whole school strategic direction.
All members of staff play a key role in the pastoral care of the young people in the school. We have a full time school nurse who is there to care for the physical needs of pupils who require medical support during the school day. We also have a dedicated Special Educational Needs Coordinator and Assistant who work to provide holistic support and advice to pupils who require this.
"We hope that each pupil develops and grows whilst thriving during their time at Friends’."
